How much does therapy cost in Alberta?
The Psychologists’ Association of Alberta determines the Recommended Fee Schedule for Registered Psychologists in Alberta. Effective January 1, 2023, it is recommended that individual, couples and family therapy in Alberta costs $220.00 per 50 minute counselling session. However, depending on where you live in Alberta, therapy may cost slightly less—ranging between $180.00–$210.00 per 50 minute session.
How much does therapy cost in Edmonton?
Following the same guidelines of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, therapy in Edmonton will typically cost $220.00 per 50 minute counselling session, but can range between $200.00-$300.00.
What are your fees?
Our fees for psychological services are reflective of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta’s Recommended Fee Schedule, which ranges from $200–$245/session,* depending on level of experience. This may be covered in whole or in part by your employee health benefits plan or through other health insurance/extended health care coverage.
Your credit card information will be collected at intake to secure your first appointment. If a credit card number is not available, other arrangements will need to be made prior to your initial session to secure the appointment.
Payment is taken at the end of each session. We accept all credit cards, debit, cash, cheque, and e-transfers.
You will receive a receipt, which you can submit for reimbursement from your health insurance/benefits provider.
Fees for psychological services can be claimed under tax deductible health services on your income tax return.
*Sliding scale may be available. Please contact us for more information. Rate of $245.00 only applies to Ph.D. level Psychologists, to reflect their specialized training and experience.

Can you bill directly to insurance providers?

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to miss an appointment, please give 24 hours notice. Please note that there is a full-session fee for missed appointments/appointments that are cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice.
