MACP, Registered Provisional Psychologist
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My approach honours you as the expert of your own life. I strive to create a safe, empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental environment, taking the time to deeply understand your experiences and collaborate with you on a plan that reflects your goals. My practice is a mix of both traditional talk therapy as well as body-based and skills-focused interventions to support nervous system regulation and create meaningful change.
My clients are most often teens and adults who are looking for support with trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and burnout. I am especially drawn to working with people who notice their stress or emotions showing up in their bodies, and who want to feel more regulated and connected again. I value the role of movement and body-based approaches in healing, and I continue to deepen my learning in somatic ways of supporting both emotional and physical well-being.
A key part of my practice is Brainspotting Therapy, a trauma-focused, neurobiological approach that supports the brain and body in processing unresolved experiences. I have a particular interest in using Brainspotting with individuals experiencing emotional dysregulation and chronic pain, as well as those who are navigating anxiety, performance pressure, and burnout related to career or sport. In addition to Brainspotting, I use interventions and methods such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
My work is informed by a strong understanding of how trauma, attachment, and early experiences can shape emotional and physical functioning over time. Prior to my work in psychology, I was an elementary teacher. This background continues to play a role in my understanding of development, attachment, the nervous system, and the long-term impact of early experiences.
I believe the relationship you build with your therapist is one of the most important for creating meaningful change in your life. I consider it a privilege to work alongside each of my clients, and I welcome the opportunity to support your journey.
Taylor is currently offering in-person and online appointments.
Please note that online therapy is only available for individuals living within the province of Alberta
