Dr. Kevin St. Arnaud

Ph.D., Registered Psychologist

I am a doctoral psychologist and have worked with a range of clients across medical, psychiatric, oncological, and counselling settings. I work with depression, anxiety, grief, change, and loss, cancer, existential issues (e.g. purpose), trauma, life transitions, psychospiritual development, and psychedelic integration. My approach is integrative, though I focus on existential, Jungian, mindfulness, and dialogical-self therapy (e.g., IFS), and have specialized training in psychedelic-assisted therapy. I am a former professor of psychology, have taught various university courses, and have published on psychedelics and spirituality.

I believe therapy is about creating a safe context for exploring our inner worlds, processing emotional wounds, grieving life's losses, revising our beliefs, and making changes to live in accordance with our values. When we can acknowledge and accept the truth of our lives, including hurts, losses, and limits, we are freed to grow into our fullest selves.

The research literature on psychotherapy is very clear: the most important predictor of positive outcomes is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and client.

I encourage you to reach out to see if I am likely to be a "good-fit” and whether what I can offer in therapy may be of benefit to you.
